Lucidea’s Lens: Knowledge Management Thought Leaders Part 103 – Tony Rhem

Stan Garfield
Tony Rhem is CEO and Principal Consultant at AJ Rhem & Associates. He is a consultant, educator, writer, author, strategist, and information architect.
Tony presents and writes on the application and theory of software engineering methodologies, knowledge management, governance, and artificial intelligence innovation (ethics, strategy, and design). He advises venture capital and investment firms on technology innovations and trends.
Here are definitions for five of Tony’s specialties:
- Artificial intelligence (AI): The capacity of a computer to perform operations analogous to learning and decision making in humans, as by an expert system.
- Big Data: Extremely large data sets that may be analyzed computationally to reveal patterns, trends, and associations, especially relating to human behavior and interactions
- Information Architecture (IA): Organizing, structuring, and labeling content in an effective and sustainable way to help users find information and complete tasks. IA helps users understand where they are, what they’ve found, what’s around, and what to expect.
- Innovation: The process by which an idea is translated into a good or service for which people will pay.
- Ontology: A set of concepts and categories in a subject area or domain that shows their properties and the relations between them.
Tony created the following content. I have curated it to represent his contributions to the field.
