Comments Policy

Thank you for taking an interest in our Think Clearly blog or one of our many social channels.

The comment section on our blog or various social media channels is a place for thoughtful discussion. Before you make your contribution, please read and understand our comment policy.

By participating in our blog, you agree to the following terms:

Comments Policy

Above all

Our top criteria for an approved comment is one that adds value, respectfully. There are several ways to add value to a conversation: asking a relevant question, answering a question, providing expanded insight, or sharing experiences related to the post’s content to name just a few.

Civility is not optional

Lucidea’s blog and social channels are meant to be places of thoughtful discussion, advocacy, and learning.

You are welcome to disagree with us, our authors, or other commenters, but the tone of those discussions must remain respectful or those comments will be deleted.
We do not tolerate personal attacks, hate speech, rude language or anything our editorial staff considers detrimental to the community.

All rights reserved

We reserve the right to edit, delete, move, or mark as spam any comment we choose. We also reserve the right to block any IP address that violates this policy from commenting, subscribing, or accessing the Think Clearly blog or Lucidea’s social content.

Liability

When posting a comment on our blog or social channels you take full responsibility for it. You agree to hold Lucidea, all post authors, and other commenters harmless.

Valid Questions

If you have a general question directly relevant to the article or piece of content we’ve posted, then please ask. If your question is specific to our products, please visit our support page.

Name Use

All comments must be posted under your real name or nickname. If you use a company name, obvious alias, or keyword-stuffed phrase your comment will be deleted and marked as spam.

Valid Email Required

Your email address must be valid. We respect your privacy and will not share this information with third parties or publish your email address to the blog or elsewhere. Any email address we believe to be spam will result in your comment being deleted and flagged as spam.

Proper Linking Practices

You are welcome to put a non-trackable, un-masked link to your website’s home page in the “website” field of our comments section.

Any link in the “website” field that appears to be shortened for tracking, masked, pointing to a product/services page, or is otherwise suspicious will be deleted.

Links to products, resources, or other sites are not permitted in the comment body. Do not sign off with a link to your website.

In all of these instances you run the risk of your whole comment being deleted and marked as spam. Repeat offenders will be blocked.

Sharing resources appropriately

Occasionally, the best way to add value to a conversation is to share a tool or resource that others may not know about.

We strongly discourage linking to these tools or resources, and instead ask that you cite it to make it easy for others to find. If you are the creator of the tool or resource, please provide full disclosure.

Gravatar

If you would like your photo to appear along with your comment, you’ll need to create a Gravatar account and use that email address when leaving comments.

Language

We create and publish content in English and unfortunately are not equipped for comment moderation in multiple languages, so please leave your comments in English.

Spam

Any comments we consider to be spam will be deleted, marked as spam, and then you will be blocked.

FAQ

Why isn’t my comment showing up?

If you’ve followed the above policy and your comment is still not showing up, please be patient. It’s probably because a moderator hasn’t had a chance to read it and mark it approved.

How do I get support for Lucidea products?

We love this question, because we can point you to our support page!
