Lucidea Publishes Updates to Popular Grants Directory Site
VANCOUVER, British Columbia — Vancouver-based Lucidea, developer of market-leading collections management systems Argus and ArchivEra, has recently published updates to its Grants Directory.
Lucidea’s Grants Site is the result of a collaboration between Lucidea and museum expert, author, and consultant Rachael Cristine Woody of Relicura. She is the author of A Survivor’s Guide to Museum Grant Writing, a common sense guide to building the necessary skills to survive the grant writing process and thrive within it. Ms. Woody and her colleagues at Relicura originally compiled and have recently updated Lucidea’s Grants Directory.
The Grants Site offers a great head start on how to find the grant funding your institution needs. It is interactive, with detailed information on U.S. and Canadian grant opportunities in the Directory, and importantly, includes a workbook that walks you through how to construct submissions for four common grant application scenarios, with links to templates for each.
Lucidea is committed to supporting all aspects of heritage institution work, not simply collections management, the aspect with which they are directly involved. They encourage their guest contributors—who write for their Think Clearly blog, present webinars in their professional development series, and author compelling titles for Lucidea Press—to write topically and think critically on issues that confront librarians, archivists and museum practitioners. Grant funding is increasingly important to the future of all these institutions.
