GeniePlus is Now SydneyDigital: Lucidea’s Integrated Library Systems Unified Under One Brand

VANCOUVER, British Columbia – GeniePlus, Lucidea’s integrated library system (ILS) for special libraries, is now part of SydneyDigital. Lucidea completed the transition in September 2026, unifying its ILS under a single brand.

For anyone evaluating library automation software, SydneyDigital is Lucidea’s flagship ILS platform—GeniePlus and SydneyDigital are one and the same platform going forward. For existing GeniePlus clients, the change is a name change only: their records, data, and workflows are unchanged, and their system continues to be fully supported.

Consolidating GeniePlus into SydneyDigital lets Lucidea focus its development and support resources on continuously enhancing one ILS rather than maintaining two separate brands. SydneyDigital serves special libraries of all types and sizes—from small, agile teams to large, distributed, and multinational organizations—and its capabilities continue to grow with each LucideaCore release, including the recent v4.5.0 update.
