LookUp Precision’s Latest Release – Three (Free) Exciting Developments

(Vancouver, Canada – July 25, 2014) Lucidea, a leading global provider of library knowledge management software and solutions to Fortune 1000 companies, top law firms, governments and nonprofits announces the upcoming release of its powerful digital resource cost management and recovery system, LookUp Precision.

This release includes three exciting developments requested by users:  a new app for iPad and iPhone, support for Chrome, and a self-service password management feature.

New LookUp App

Organizations must support an increasingly mobile work force, and this support often includes a BYOD (bring your own device) program.  Lucidea’s product developers know that many of their clients’ end users prefer to work on an iPad or even an iPhone, whether in the office or on-the-go.  The new LookUp app captures the critical elements of digital resource cost management – usage tracking (both searches and time) and client validation – for resources leveraged by iPad and iPhone users, anytime, anywhere. The app is free, and it’s available now via the Apple app store.

IT managers will be glad to know that Lucidea provides a server component to work in tandem with the app; it synchs mobile statistics collected via the cloud service app with those collected via the desktop usage database, so that all LookUp reports include comprehensive data regardless of where the digital resource usage occurred.   The component is free, and available upon request via the Lucidea support team.

Chrome Browser Compatibility

LookUp Precision’s Chrome users will be happy to know that version 2.10 of the application is now fully compatible with Chrome versions 35 and later, for users on Windows Vista, 7 or 8.  If support is needed, users can request help from the Lucidea team.

My Passwords Feature

Forgotten passwords are a common cause of frustration and lost productivity.  LookUp Precision now includes self-service password retrieval, which allows users to view a list of their own login credentials for each tracked digital resource site (LexisNexis, OneSource, CCH, etc.)  The password list is available via a persistent URL, which users can bookmark for convenient future reference.   The “My Passwords” feature is available now from the Lucidea support team; it’s free, and it works with LookUp version 2.9 and higher.
